Pursuant to a new piece of legislation that came into effect on 16 November 2009 – ‘The Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (Licensing of Booking Offices) Order 2009 (‘the Order’), ComCab applied and was duly granted a 3-year license by the Aberdeen City Council
The Order introduces a new mandatory licensing scheme for taxis and private hire vehicles booking offices in Scotland.
In order to qualify for the Booking Office License, a company must satisfy a number of Mandatory and Local Conditions.
Being the operator of the largest taxi fleet in Aberdeen, ComCab was one of the first few taxi companies to submit its application in accordance with the licensing requirements. With the grant of a Booking Office License, ComCab’s credential can be differentiated from other unlicensed operators when it comes to the provision of safe and reliable journeys to all our customers.
